AWANA - "Approved workmen are not ashamed"

Our Awana club starts at 6:00 pm every Wednesday night and lasts until 7:30 pm. We have our Cubbie group, which is our preschoolers. Our Awana workers reach our cubbies through memorizing scripture and playing games. They also learn about Jesus through puppets and crafts. They have awards ceremonies where they are given awards for their achievements. It gives the preschoolers a better understanding of God's word.

Our Sparks group is for children K-2nd grade. In the Sparks group the children are not only taught about Jesus Christ, they are also taught about his salvation and the Bible. Sparks are given memory verse drills, crafts and activities pertaining to the word of God. Sparks have three handbooks they work on; the first one is "Jesus in the past", the second one is "Jesus in the present", and the third one is "Jesus in the future". The Sparks also have an awards ceremony for their children once they have achieved their goals.

The Truth & Training Club is for children in 3rd-6th grade. Truth & Training teaches the children the truth of God's Word and trains them to follow God in their daily lives. We feel that our young people will one day grow up to be leaders and role models in our church. The Truth & Training group has four handbooks to complete. The first book talks about why God gave us the Bible, who is God and Lord Jesus and how does God want me to live my life. The second book talks about what God says about home and family, why we should go to church, how we can help others and what we need to know about Satan, angels and the future. The third book talks about how do we know the Bible is true, and things that we need to know about God, Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. The last book talks about what we need to know about our family, now and in the future, how we can grow spiritually, what a good friend is and what God wants us to know about the future.

We believe that AWANA is a great organization because it reached children at a young age and teaches about Jesus, God and the Bible. Come and be a part of our group on Wednesday nights. You will have a great time!
